Message Board Suggestions
I hope it's okay that I post a suggestion here. One suggestion would be a "suggestions" section where people might offer suggestions. I don't mean to be overly suggestive, or to suggest that this was my actual suggestion, so I will get on with the suggestioning as per my original agenda... In light of the existence of two archived message boards to choose from, it may be helpful to the newest members if we post links to our archived comments when referring people to them. Hypothetically, if I tell someone to "see my post in the archived boards concerning Kaufman's passion for crushing graham crackers between his buttcheeks...", they may not take the time to dig up such an interesting nugget of information on their own. Which inevitably results in additional misinformed/uneducated posts, etc. The more people who read the archives, the better. If its worth referring people to, it should be worth the time to post a link... JMHO.

Good idea!

weeza- 03-07-2007

what a great suggestion...lol

Deoxys- 03-07-2007

Amen, Trent, but you failed to provide us a link to that interesting post of yours. In the meantime, I'll have to do a search for "Kaufman, crackers, buttcheeks". That should hopefully narrow things down a bit.

Haha Deo! ... That was obvoiusly nonsense... but who knows... Maybe It would explain Kaufman's crummy theory. Ba-da-bing take my wife please

Suggestion: a link back to zodiackiller.com

Angie- 03-09-2007

Ok...here's my suggestion... We DEFINITELY need to have a general and off-topic area to talk about other topics. I really enjoyed reading those posts off the recently archived board...plus... we totally have to have a "Favorite Avatar" poll... (I'm already voting for Deoxys) ... hehe

Great idea Angie! It shall be done...

great new look Tom..how do I make an avatar small enough? I tried with an image of mine and couldn“t get it small enough, plus it was ruined--glad to see things are well..

zk.com linkback
Tom, thanks for the links back to zk.com posted in the thread of this forum. As a longtime lurker of the old board, I realize now that it's missing how much I relied on the zk.com link and esp. the news/"updated" stamp on the very first page of the message board. Perhaps you plan to double-post all news/updates to the forum? If so, then I guess it's a mute point....

great new look Tom..how do I make an avatar small enough? I tried with an image of mine and couldn“t get it small enough, plus it was ruined--glad to see things are well.. Fred, you CAN choose to host your avatar elsewhere and just link it to this board. There's an appropriate field for that on your profile page's avatar setup. I use Photobucket but there's lots of other free options out there. I totally failed to notice that at first, but then I saw WitchKing's animated avatar and went "HEY waitaminnit!" Anyway, yeah, just don't use a HUGE photo pixelwise or obviously it'll screw up the page formatting. So the size should come in around 120x120 tops, I should think, but they can be complex as you wish, with high KB numbers. Thus animation is possible! :D

I'm going to ask again if we could have a search function added (enabled?) on the recently archived message board. It would make it easier to find out if questions have already been asked, etc. I know when I first started reading the message boards, I used the search feature a lot to try to avoid being redundant when asking questions.

Suggestion: a link back to zodiackiller.com I second this one. Apparently as it is right now, you can't access any other areas of zodiackiller.com from the new message board.

TomVoigt- 03-11-2007

In this very topic I added a thread called RESOURCES/LINKS...

Spartacus- 03-12-2007

I know this might be tough to do, but maybe a link on the forum or main pages to the people who investigated the crimes? Articles from that time, an interviews they did during or after. I am guessing that between Tom and others you have some access to those that are still around and could even offer them a place to voice their stories, opinions about the case without a writer offering an editorial or a slant.
